Algodon at Top Resa Wine Fair in Paris

Algodon Mansion’s general manager, Pablo Veloso, recently attended the prestigious Top Resa at Porte de Versailles in Paris, held from September 16-19, 2008. Top Resa is a trade show and showcase for tourism and travel professionals, which provides excellent opportunities for industry exposure, networking, and communicating with the press. Those fortunate enough to attend the event had the privilege to share information, discuss, debate, and find new outlets and opportunities to keep up with the expectations of travelers.

Top Resa’s exhibitors include airlines, hotels, cruises, rail operators, car rental companies, online booking companies, credit card companies, business travel agents, air charters, airports and many more.

Attendees of the event typically include tourism and travel professionals, as well as over 500 accredited journalists and 200 tourism media and communication professionals.

Traditionally held in Deauville, France, this year marked Top Resa’s 30th anniversary. The event’s new location in Paris was expected to draw an estimated 20,000 quality contacts and industry insiders, making this year’s gathering the “must-attend" event for the industry. Mr. Veloso reports that our marketing materials and press kit went over well, and the overall feedback from tour operators and industry leaders was very positive. The general consensus is that Algodon Mansion is very unique hotel concept. Among those attending the event was a representative from “Tourism of Argentina in France” who offered French commercial support by including our hotel in his 2009 press trip agenda.

Mr. Veloso also presented material to the Tourism Secretary of Argentina who showed great interest in our project and has been invited to our opening. Algodon Mansion presented about 5 daily showcases for top European industry professionals, and Argentina’s overall display booth won the top prize for the “Best Booth design, Top Resa 2008.”
