Algodon Wine Estates shines at Latin America’s top wine fair

Wednesday, 09/10/2008 12:00 PM - 12:00 PM
Buenos Aires, Argentina

Algodon Wine Estates was recently featured at Vinos y Bodegas Feria 2008 (Wine & Winery Fair 2008); the largest wine fair in Latin America. This year's event had over 50,000 people in attendance, including 83 of the industry's most recognized wineries.

Our multimedia, 45 square meter booth included a large rendering of the master plan map, as well as a film detailing aspects of the estate and its landscape. The booth, which was by far the best at the wine fair, was located 90 feet away from the fair's only entrance, so it was spotted even before entering.

Our two-story booth was designed to resemble a traditional lodge, and included a cozy upstairs lounge where only serious potential homesite buyers and VIPs were received. Three well defined areas on the booth's first level were used for wine tastings, real estate promotion, and a one-hour course for six people on the secrets of good wine. Tastings were presented by Algodon Wine Estates' Sommelier; Paula Bagnato.

The booth featured every wine currently being produced by our winery, as well as some tasting samples from our restaurant specially made to match each wine. Algodon Wine Estates' Hospitality and Tourism Coordinator, Valeria Baca, worked the front of the booth answering questions and also provided information regarding tourism and the estate homesites.

The current Governor of Mendoza, Celso A. Jaque, and the Nation's Secretary of Tourism, Carlos E. Meyer, were among those attending the event and used our booth as a background for a Public Relations photo op. Algodon wines were also being sold just 100 feet away in a stand operated by a major retailer.
