Algodon Wine Estates is Committed to Making the Best Bonarda in the World!

As one of the premiere wineries in Argentina to promote an outstanding wine from this remarkable varietal, Algodon Wine Estates wants to spread the word that Bonarda may very well give the celebrated Malbec a run for its money. Algodon has produced a highly recommended vintage with tons of charm! If you missed our recent wine tasting at Union Square Wines in New York City, you haven’t lost out entirely- look for our 2004 Bonarda at your local wine store, you won’t be disappointed! Also, look for our BLACK LABEL Bonarda Grand Reserva, coming your way soon…

Bonarda was once the most widely planted varietal in Argentina, until recently when it was surpassed by Malbec. Due to the low cost, vigor, and sheer abundance of Bonarda, it has traditionally been used when elaborating inexpensive wines or for bulk production of table wines. However when elaborated as a varietal itself, it has drawn some notable and outstanding critical responses. Bonarda gives a candid, full-bodied and colorful wine, with fruity aromas and subtle aniseed-flavored hints. It can be successfully barrel aged thanks to its good structure.

Take note that a number of vineyard estate homesites at Algodon Wine Estates also feature the magnificent Bonarda grape. Reserve your very own vineyard today, nestled in the heart of Argentina’s wine country, and enjoy all the privileges of a privately owned label.
