Algodon Wine Estates’ Spring Celebrations!

The month of April was a busy time for our hardworking staff in San Rafael.  Algodon Wine Estates saw many visitors over the Easter holiday, and according to Diego Coll Benegas, AWE's Director of Project Development, Tourism & Hospitality, our lodges were at full capacity and an abundance of wine was sold.  Over the holiday, the estate also hosted Música Clásica por los Caminos del Vino ("Classical Music through the Wine Road") where attendees enjoyed classical music and wine tastings.  AWE's involvement in this event was covered in a brief article on WineSur.com.  The annual event is organized by Mendoza's Secretary of Culture, and several wineries throughout the region participate by collectively hosting a series of concerts along the Argentine Wine Route. 

April also played host to a local wine fair in downtown San Rafael, which saw over 2000 visitors.  The fair featured wines from local and regional wineries, as well as gourmet cuisine, traditional folk music, tango concerts, and children's theatre.  AWE's booth proved to be a crowd favorite, and served as a wonderful opportunity to communicate firsthand to the local community the range of tourism events and amenities offered at our unique estate; including our award-winning restaurant, 18-hole golf course, upcoming championship tennis center, lodging, winery and tastings, and cultural events organized every month.
