Algodon Wine importer Jomada Imports has recently engaged the expertise of Don Clemens, an accomplished wine connoisseur, lecturer, and Certified Wine Educator (through the Society of Wine Educators). Mr. Clemens will focus on building a distribution network for Algodon Wine here in the United States. His vast experience includes serving as Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Napa Valley’s William Hill Winery, as well as holding the position of Regional Sales Manager for several companies including Maisons Marques & Domaines, Charles Krug Winery of St. Helena, and Vintage Wine Merchants of San Francisco. His impressive work as a sommelier for a leading Chicago restaurant has won him a Wine Spectator "Grand Award” for his exceptional wine list. His career in the wine business began in 1974, and also includes retail and restaurant management, wholesale distribution, regional sales and even winery sales management. Mr. Clemens currently lives in the Chicago area with his wife, two dogs, and two cats.
Additionally, Pilgrim Wines, one of Mendoza City’s top wine distributors, will be representing and selling Algodon Wines to the province’s finest hotels, restaurants and bars. Pilgrim Wines is particularly noteworthy for carrying vintages from the best boutique wineries in the region including Atamisque, Zuccardi and Tempus. The distributor will be selling our 2006 Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet/Syrah, Bonarda and Gran Reserva as well as our 2008 Chardonnay and Malbec Rosé.
