Algodon Wine is enjoyed at Wine Enthusiast’s 2008 Wine Star Awards!
Algodon Wine Estates takes great pleasure in having participated in the festivities for Wine Enthusiast's 2008 Wine Star Awards. The event was held at the New York Public Library on January 26, 2009. The theme of this year's celebration was "innovation," and honors were presented for excellence in eleven major industry categories.
A special award honored Mendoza, Argentina as Wine Region of the Year, and Algodon Wine (as well as a handful of other Argentine wines) was chosen to be served to attendees in order to represent the region's excellence. In honoring the region, Wine Enthusiast explains that Mendoza "is the heart, mind and soul of the Argentine wine industry, which has been growing by leaps and bounds in the past few decades...Today Mendoza is a wine region on par with many of the best in the world."
This year marked Wine Enthusiast's 9th annual Wine Star Awards ceremony, and Algodon Wine Estates hopes to be in attendance next year as well. For the complete list of 2008 award winners, please click here!
