Algodon Winery’s New Barrel Room

Notwithstanding last week’s announcement from Argentina’s President Christina Kirchner that she was interested in taking control of oil producer YPF (some argue that the seizure will make Argentina into an even bigger pariah than it was following the default in 2002), we see the potential for opportunity.  We’ll have to wait and see what happens next, but her moves are not surprising as this great grasp for money is evidently what she believes will keep the economy moving forward.  (In Argentina, they grasp for control…in the U.S., we just print more money.)  Obviously, much of the world thinks this is not a good move for Argentina’s world standing and may negatively impact public opinion outside the country.  As I said, we are not surprised by her move and are also not daunted in regards to our investments either, as this is…
