Algodon Wines Achieve 91 & 90 Point Parker Ratings!

We are pleased to announce that Algodon Wine Estates 2008 Malbec recently received a 91 point rating and our 2008 Bonarda received a 90 point rating from Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate!  The Wine Advocate’s annual rating system is the most influential on pricing and purchasing decisions for wines in the U.S. market, and wines rating above 90 points typically sell comparatively well.  We’d like to acknowledge our winemakers and advisors, Marcelo Pelleriti, Mauro Nosenzo, Anthony Foster, and all else who have played their part in helping to lead us to this distinction.  This is indeed wonderful news for our wines, and we feel confident that our vintages from 2010 and beyond have the potential to rate even higher.

In addition brand recognition, wine rating can also play an integral role on the value of the vineyard properties that produce them.  Since developing Algodon Wine Estates several years ago, our vineyards have shown increased improvement in the viniculture, grape quality and wine quality, and have received high ratings on an international scale.  Algodon Wine Estates is also one of the very few properties in the world where wine lovers can own a piece of this.  Our vineyards, some of which were planted as far back as 1946, are producing top quality wines, and vineyard owners within our private development have the opportunity to produce custom wines of their favorite blends or varietals.
