Algodon Wine Estates is planning to add truffles to the mix! We currently have an abundance of walnut trees, and may soon be planting oak and almond trees which will provide an essential root base for the cultivation of truffles. San Rafael’s soil quality and climate may be just right for growing black and white truffles, which are famously grown in the world’s top wine regions including the best regions of France, Italy, and Spain. This unique and highly-valued component will undoubtedly add even more worth to our extraordinary development.
